GZ AUSTRALIA WARRANTY

1. Purpose of this Document


This is the warranty statement by GZ Australia (henceforth known as “GZ”), for GZ Products (“Product/s”) imported for sale in Australia by GZ.

2. Purchaser’s Statutory Rights


2.1 GZ Australia’s warranty terms are in addition to rights, conditions, or warranties implied by the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent permitted by law, and subject to exclusions set out below, GZ warrants that the GZ Product shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of Dealer Invoice (“Standard Express Warranty”), provided that:

2.1.1 The Product was purchased by the End-User in Australia either direct from GZ Australia or from a GZ authorised dealer or representative.

2.1.2 The Product was not purchased for resale.

2.1.3 The Product was purchased new by the End-User – or otherwise sold with a full warranty and, in such cases, with express written approval by GZ Australia.

2.1.4 GZ Australia shall limit its liability for any breach of condition or warranty that cannot be excluded by law to: performing repairs, replacing parts of the Products, supplying equivalent Products, or paying for the repair/replacement of the Products or equivalent Products. All other warranties or liability are excluded other than those implied by law or expressly provided.


3. No Representation of Suitability


3.1 GZ Australia makes no claims, warranty, or representation, implied or otherwise, that:

3.1.1 The Product will suit an End-User’s specific requirements.

3.1.2 The Product will perform to any level of expectation when using third-party printable or cuttable media.

3.1.3 The operation of the Product will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure.

3.1.4 All defects not affecting the performance of the Product will be corrected.


4. Standard Express Warranty


4.1 GZ Australia products are warranted to be free of fault in workmanship and materials for one (1) year from the date of invoice from the original authorised Dealer for the original Purchaser (the “End-User”) only, provided that:


4.1.1 The Product was correctly installed by a GZ Australia authorised technician or service agent.

4.1.2 The Product has been used under normal operating conditions as per its manuals.

4.1.3 The Product has not been altered or modified.

4.1.4 The warranty claim was received and approved by GZ Australia or its authorised service network.

4.1.5 The Product uses GZ-approved inks, parts, and consumables unless otherwise authorised in writing by GZ Australia.


5. Extended 3-Year Warranty (Parts Only)


5.1 To secure an extended 3-year warranty (2 years beyond the standard warranty), the product must be maintained in accordance with its operation manual.

5.2 Extended warranty is only available for products listed on GZ Australia’s extended warranty product list.


6. Warranty Service


6.1 During the warranty period, and at GZ’s discretion:

6.1.1 Warranty repair or replacement does not extend the original warranty period.

6.1.2 GZ agrees to repair or replace defective parts free of charge.

6.1.3 GZ does not provide loan products or cover hire costs during service.

6.1.4 All replaced parts become the property of GZ. End-Users must return defective parts within 30 days or they will be invoiced at RRP.

6.1.5 For Products outside metropolitan areas, End-Users must cover travel costs of service agents.


7. Warranty Void


Warranty is void if:


· The Product is not properly maintained or serviced at required intervals.

· Repairs are attempted by unauthorised personnel.

· Non-GZ inks, parts, or consumables are used.

· The Product is damaged by misuse, accident, negligence, power spikes, or Acts of God.

· The Product is used outside its intended design or installation.


8. Reasonable Expectation


GZ expects all problems or issues with the Product to be reported within 7 days  to an authorised dealer or to GZ Australia directly.


9. Other Items Not Covered


Warranty does not cover:


· Consumables used in maintenance or repair.

· Relocation costs after installation.

· Consequential loss, trade downtime, or economic costs.

· Travel costs outside defined service boundaries.

· Transfer of warranty to new owners.


10. Replacement Parts


Replacement parts installed during warranty are covered until the end of the original 12-month warranty or 90 days (whichever is longer). Parts obtained via parallel import are not covered.


11. Accessories, Consumables, Optional Parts


Defective or Dead-on-Arrival accessories or consumables may be replaced free of charge if reported in writing within 3 business days  of installation and approved by GZ.


12. Exclusions


Warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, weather, poor installation, neglect, third-party media, or consumables past use-by date. Fair wear and tear also applies to lamps, print heads, pumps, motors, solenoids, etc.


13. Warranty on Consumables


Consumables (ink, blades, pads, filters, wipers, cleaning solutions, etc.) are covered against defects in workmanship only. No guarantee is made as to their usable life, as this depends on use. Claims must be made within 7 days of invoice.

All initial warranty inquiries must be made through your dealer or an authorised GZ representative.
