1. About This Warranty
This warranty is provided by GZ Australia for products imported and sold in Australia.

2. Your Consumer Rights
This warranty is in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. To the extent permitted by law, GZ warrants that products shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of invoice, provided:
- The product was purchased new in Australia from GZ Australia or an authorised dealer
- The product was not purchased for resale
- The product was purchased with full warranty (or with express written approval from GZ Australia)
GZ Australia limits liability for any breach of warranty to: performing repairs, replacing parts, supplying equivalent products, or paying for repair/replacement costs.
3. No Representation of Suitability
GZ Australia makes no warranty or representation that:
- The product will suit your specific requirements
- The product will perform to any level of expectation when using third-party media
- Operation will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure
- All defects not affecting performance will be corrected
4. Standard 1-Year Warranty
Products are warranted to be free of fault in workmanship and materials for one (1) year from the date of invoice, provided:
- The product was correctly installed by a GZ Australia authorised technician
- The product has been used under normal operating conditions as per its manuals
- The product has not been altered or modified
- The warranty claim was received and approved by GZ Australia
- The product uses GZ-approved inks, parts, and consumables
5. Extended 3-Year Warranty (Parts Only)
To secure an extended 3-year warranty(2 years beyond the standard warranty):
- The product must be maintained in accordance with its operation manual
- Extended warranty is only available for products on GZ Australia's extended warranty product list
6. Warranty Service
During the warranty period, at GZ Australia's discretion:
- Warranty repair or replacement does not extend the original warranty period
- Defective parts will be repaired or replaced free of charge
- GZ does not provide loan products or cover hire costs during service
- All replaced parts become the property of GZ Australia — defective parts must be returned within 30 days or will be invoiced at RRP
- For products outside metropolitan areas, the end-user must cover travel costs of service agents
7. Warranty Void Conditions
Warranty is void if:
- The product is not properly maintained or serviced at required intervals
- Repairs are attempted by unauthorised personnel
- Non-GZ inks, parts, or consumables are used
- The product is damaged by misuse, accident, negligence, power spikes, or Acts of God
- The product is used outside its intended design or installation
8. Reporting Issues
All problems or issues with the product must be reported within 7 days to an authorised dealer or to GZ Australia directly.
9. Items Not Covered
Warranty does not cover:
- Consumables used in maintenance or repair
- Relocation costs after installation
- Consequential loss, trade downtime, or economic costs
- Travel costs outside defined service boundaries
- Transfer of warranty to new owners
10. Replacement Parts
Replacement parts installed during warranty are covered until the end of the original 12-month warranty or 90 days(whichever is longer). Parts obtained via parallel import are not covered.
11. Accessories & DOA Items
Defective or Dead-on-Arrival accessories or consumables may be replaced free of charge if reported in writing within 3 business days of installation and approved by GZ Australia.
12. Exclusions
Warranty does not cover damage caused by:
- Misuse, weather, poor installation, or neglect
- Third-party media or consumables past use-by date
- Fair wear and tear (applies to lamps, print heads, pumps, motors, solenoids, etc.)
13. Consumables Warranty
Consumables (ink, blades, pads, filters, wipers, cleaning solutions, etc.) are covered against defects in workmanship only. No guarantee is made as to usable life, as this depends on use. Claims must be made within 7 days of invoice.
